Silverado, Corvette Stingray Named Finalists for Major Award

The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and Silverado 1500 have been named finalists for the 2014 North American Car and Truck of the Year.

The 2014 awards will be announced on January 13th during a special press conference before the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

General Motors Continutes Environmental Leadership

4General Motors, maker of Chevrolet cars and trucks, continues to solidify its role as a leader in environmental responsibility.

Perseverance and creativity enabled GM’s Rochester, New York facility to become completely landfill free, making it the company’s 109th location to achieve the feat.

GM has more landfill-free facilities than any other automaker in the world, but the process at Rochester took a little more ingenuity than usual.

2015 Chevy Colorado: The Next Big Thing for Chevrolet

The Chevy Colorado has been unveiled in Los Angeles, and it’s just as impressive than we thought.

As the only midsize truck offered by any of the American automakers, the Colorado will fill a void in the segment that currently consists exclusively of outdated foreign models.

While the redesigned Colorado has some popular features brought over from the new Silverado, much of the truck is completely unique, especially the sleek original styling.

Explaining the “Ackermann Effect” in the 2014 Corvette Stingray

If you take the all-new Stingray for a drive, you may notice something before you even leave the parking lot. This little something may seem like a defect, but it’s not.

It’s called the “Ackermann Effect”, and although the issue was resolved 200 years ago, Chevy left it alone on the Corvette.

The reason? It’s the same reason the Corvette has a 50/50 weight distribution  and electric power steering: performance.

2015 Chevy Colorado Set to Unveil at LA Auto Show

General Motors has announced that the all-new Chevy Colorado is set to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 20th. 

While Chevy has revamped their entire full-size pickup roster, with redesigned editions of the Silverado 1500, 2500HD, and 3500HD, the all-new Colorado could be one of the most important launches in Chevy’s entire lineup.

Chevy Flexing its Muscle at 2013 SEMA Show

The 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas is a chance for manufacturers and parts producers to show off their wares, and Chevrolet is taking full advantage.

While some groups show convenience items and multi-colored paint jobs, Chevy is going all muscle with a full lineup of high-performance concept cars, including custom versions of the Camaro Z/28, Corvette Stingray, and all-new Chevy SS.

John Calabrese, GM’s VP of Engineering, Shares his Passion for Education

General Motors released an article highlighting a conversation with John Calabrese, GM’s vice president of engineering.

He is the key GM Executive for Virginia Tech and serves on the university’s advisory board to the College of Engineering.

He also a board member with the Engineering Society of Detroit and the Michigan Science Center.

Video: 2014 Chevy Camaro Z/28 Lapping the Famous Nurburgring Track

Last week Chevrolet revealed a video of the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 lapping Germany’s Nurburgring road course, one of the best-known and most challenging race tracks in the world.

The Camaro Z/28 ran the course in 7:37.4, a time that puts it alongside the world’s most prominent performance vehicles.
