Chevy Silverado has a long-standing reputation as the most dependable, longest-lasting truck on the road.
Thanks to advanced technology, the 2014 Silverado continues that tradition, becoming the most corrosion resistant Chevrolet truck ever.
According to a press release from General Motors, the 2014 Chevy Silverado uses four distinct techniques to help prevent corrosion.
Every day drivers need basic information to get through their daily commutes. Drivers of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, however, require more than just the speedometer and gas gauge..
That’s why Chevrolet created an innovative cluster display for the all-new Corvette. With 69 unique information sources and three advanced cluster display modes, the system also features patented technology found only in the 2014 Corvette.
Just like the Corvette Stingray itself, this display system is designed for people who demand perfection and expect more from their vehicles.
Corvette Stingray: An Engaging Drive
Three Display Modesfor the 2014 Corvette
The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray sports 10 different display features:
Tour Theme: Available in Weather, Eco, and Tour drive mode, this option provides the most practical commuting or long-distance driving information, including key vehicle information and multimedia displays.
Sport Theme: When the driver goes into Sport driving mode, this display theme delivers a classic sports-car experience with a single radial tachometer.
Track Theme: Shift lights, large gear indicator, and a “hockey stick” style tachometer highlight this track-focused theme, which was heavily influenced by the successful Corvette Racing C6.R.
Adjustable Redline: Showing the suggested maximum engine speed as low as 3,500 rpm when the engine is cold, this mode is available in all themes.
Tachometer “Halo”: While utilizing the Sport theme, this display feature shows a colored ring around the tachometer. As rpms increase, the color changes from yellow to amber to red.
Shift Lights: Another feature inspired by the C6.R, this display shows an easy-to-see shift notification using changing colors and flashes at redline.
Friction-Bubble/Cornering Force: For drivers who want to measure the limits of the 2014 Corvette Stingray, this display shows lateral and longitudinal G-force.
Tire Temperature Gauge: Connected to an advanced tire pressure measuring system, this display shows tire temperature, informing the driver when the tires are hot, which is the best temperature for peak grip and track performance.
Acceleration Timer: With programmable start/stop speeds, this interactive timer enables drivers to measure the traditional 0-60 mph or select their own range, including top-gear acceleration of 70-100 mph (at the track of course!).
Lap Timer: For drivers who want to measure their track consistency while lapping road courses, this timer shows current, previous, and best lap times.
These displays and features create one of the most interactive and engaging driving experiences available. The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will be coming soon, so stay tuned to this blog for more information.
